The BYD B-BOX Premium HVS 5.1 is an advanced high-voltage battery that offers maximum efficiency and reliability for both residential and commercial energy storage. Thanks to its true high-voltage series connection, this battery delivers outstanding performance and high energy efficiency. The HVS series is ideal for powerful backup power with off-grid functionality – ensuring continued power even during a power outage.

BYD's patented modular connector design requires no internal wiring, making installation and maintenance simple and offering maximum flexibility and ease of use. The battery features cobalt-free lithium iron phosphate (LFP) technology , ensuring maximum safety, a long lifespan, and high performance. Furthermore, the HVS series is compatible with leading single-phase and three-phase high-voltage battery inverters, allowing for seamless integration into existing or new systems.

Key Features

TheBYD Battery-Box Premium HVSconsists of two to five HVS battery modules connected in series, achieving a usable capacity of 5.1 to 12.8 kWh. Up to three identical systems can be connected in parallel, resulting in a maximum capacity of 38.4 kWh. Thanks to this modular design, the system can be easily expanded by adding additional HVS modules or parallel stacks later.

TheBYD B-BOX Premium HVS 5.1has a usable capacity of 5.12 kWh, a nominal voltage of 204 V, and a maximum output current of 25 A. The operating voltage range is between 160 and 230 V, and the battery operates reliably within an ambient temperature range of -10°C to +50°C. Interfaces include CAN and RS485, with an energy efficiency (round-trip) of ≥ 96%. The battery complies with international safety and quality standards such as VDE2510-50, IEC62619, CEC, CE, and UN38.3 and has an IP55 protection class.

The delivery includes – two BYD B-BOX Premium HVS battery modules and one BYD Battery Control Unit.
