BYD B-BOX Premium LVS 8.0 – 8 kWh Home Battery

The BYD Battery-Box Premium LVS 8.0 is a powerful and scalable low-voltage battery system for residential and commercial energy storage. The system consists of a BYD BMU Battery Management Unit , a BYD PDU Power Distribution Unit , and two LVS 4.0 kWh battery modules connected in parallel. Thanks to its modular design, the LVS 8.0 can be easily expanded with up to four additional LVS modules, providing a usable capacity of 24 kWh. For larger applications, the system can be scaled up to a maximum capacity of 256 kWh by connecting up to sixteen identical LVS 16.0 stacks in parallel.

Key Features

The LVS 8.0 offers high power for emergency backup and off-grid functionality, delivering excellent efficiency thanks to a true parallel low-voltage connection. Its modular plug design requires no internal wiring, ensuring maximum flexibility and ease of use. The battery uses cobalt-free lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells, guaranteeing maximum safety, a long lifespan, and reliable performance. Compatible with leading single- and three-phase low-voltage battery inverters, the LVS 8.0 is suitable for on-grid, on-grid with backup, or fully off-grid applications.

TheBYD LVS 8.0has a usable capacity of 8.00 kWh, a nominal voltage of 51.2 V, a maximum output current of 130 A, and a peak output current of 180 A for five seconds. The operating voltage range is from 40 to 57.6 V, and the battery operates reliably within an ambient temperature range of -10 °C to +50 °C. The LVS 8.0 uses CAN/RS485 interfaces, has a round-trip energy efficiency of ≥95%, and complies with international certifications such as VDE2510-50, IEC62619, CE, CEC, and UN38.3. The enclosure has an IP55 protection class.
